E-commerce sites are becoming more and more popular these days with everyone wanting to make their products and services easily purchasable straight from the website.

Google are already helping you out here! Google Product Search lets you submit your products, which will then allow shoppers to easily and quickly find your site.

For example if I wanted to find where I can buy a Canon digital camera, I can simply enter the query in Product Search. The search results will include websites that sell Canon digital cameras, even showing the price for the product (see example below).

If you want to find out more about Google Product Search, then you’re in luck! The Google team has recently launched a video which takes an in depth look at Product Search and includes some hints and tips for submitting your products.

The video was created by Maile Ohye, a Developer Programs Tech Lead and covers frequently asked questions such as:

• Will my products’ rankings improve if I include custom attributes in my feed?
• Do product listings expire after 30 days?
• How often should I submit my feed?
