YouTube has launched an innovative new marketing tool for brand advertisers called the YouTube Mosaic. This product can be used in YouTube brand channels to display a full screen image of the advertiser’s choice which is made up from a range of smaller individual videos related to that brand.
As reported by Webpronews, Victoria Katsarou from YouTube said,
“The idea is that users no longer just browse on a company’s channel, but they can also actively experience the brand in new and exciting ways, which could lead them to identify more strongly with it”

As the growth of YouTube continues, brand channels have become an important way for companies to connect with their customers. The introduction of the YouTube mosaic will give brands a new way to showcase their identity. Companies using the feature are likely to see more interaction with their fans as they explore the channel and watch videos related to the brand.
To take advantage of the Mosaic, you’ll need to provide YouTube with an 840×411 image and the video information you want to include. The Mosaic matches the shape and color of each thumbnail to the pixels of the target image. Videos can be created by the advertiser or related to their brand.
When users scroll over thumbnails, they are enlarged to show the video within the gadget while remaining on the channel. Overall I think this a cool new feature which will encourage users to explore your brand further!
