It’s only taken 6 months but Yahoo! has finally done something with their purchase of IndexTools and it could be a little troubling for Google.
Yahoo has announced that they will begin to roll out Yahoo Web Analytics on a limited basis beginning this week.
Yahoo! Web Analytics provides website owners with insight into sales, ad performance and traffic sources through real-time reports and graphs.
Although it is very similar to Google Analytics many have described IndexTools as being a more superior product – good news for Yahoo!
Yahoo! outlines why this new product is more superior to the competition (Google Analytics) in its FAQ:
Yahoo! Web Analytics will be available for free to 13,000 e-commerce customers hosting under the Yahoo Small Business service and then the rest of us will have to wait until late 2008 or even 2009 to use it.
