Posted by @ 6:01 am

If you’re a “Do It Yourself” search engine optimizer – here’s 5 great extensions and plug-ins to turn your internet browser into the ultimate SEO tool.

Okay – before i get into the tools, important note: if you’re not using Firefox (or a browser based on Mozilla e.g. Flock), then the following tools will be useless. Unfortunately (or fortunately depending on who you speak to), “most” of them don’t support the likes of Internet Explorer, Safari etc.

So onto the SEO plugins and tools:

A simple tool for analyzing search engine results and and related variable that can influence SEO. Reviews can be saved and accessed in the future for comparison.

SEO for Firefox:
Aaron Wall’s SEO tool is a must for most serious SEOers. If offers 13 different indicators including Page Rank, inbound links and social bookmarks.

For every site you visit using, SearchStatus lets you view its Google PageRank, Google Category, Alexa popularity ranking, ranking, Alexa incoming links, Alexa related links and backward links from Google, Yahoo! and MSN.

Get quick access to Yahoo Site Explorer for finding the SEO vitals for a web page. Simple right click access will redirect you to Site Explorer with the URL in question displayed.

Niche Watch:

SEO extension gives you backlinks number,
indexed pages, keyword occurences on the page, page rank, all in
anchor, all in title and all in text rank for both domain and webpage

so there you go…now you’ve got access to my 5 essential SEO add-ons for Firefox.

Be warned – having them all running can slow down your searching, so only switch them on when doing your regular SEO work.

Happy rank hunting…
