Steady Growth for ISEDN Search Network

Posted by @ 4:48 pm

The big three search engines Google, Yahoo! and MSN tend to get all the attention when it comes to search engine news, but it pays to keep an eye on what’s going on at the smaller, Tier 2 search engines, too.

Just a year after the Independent Search Engine and Directory Network was launched, the number of network members has grown to over 200 search engines and directories, representing a combined search volume of over 150 million searches per month. Jayde Online, the parent company of, is the driving force behind the ISEDN network, and has ensured that ExactSeek Featured Listings, the hybrid paid advertising system, now is syndicated across all 200 members of

ExactSeek Featured Listings guarantees the top 10 placement of text ads across the entire network of search engines and directories belonging to ISEDN. The placement of keyword ads only requires the payment of a flat fee per ad, and will never attract any pay-per-click charges. Other advantages include the fact that the costs are as low as $12 per ad, ads are online within 8 hours of buying ads, and there is no risk of being exposed to click fraud.

All of this makes ExactSeek Featured Listings an attractive, low-risk advertising alternative for small and medium businesses which are suspicious of the complexities of the Google AdWords and Yahoo! Search Marketing’s pay-per-click programs or would like to gain additional exposure on niche directories and search engines.

According to Mel Strocen, founder of and CEO of Jayde Online, ISEDN is also attractive for search providers: “The ISEDN’s growth shows that search providers want to offer alternative advertising methods. Alternatives which are not plagued by the click fraud problems which companies such as Google, Yahoo!, and MSN must deal with.”

He added, “We’re looking forward to continuing the rapid growth of the ISEDN. We’re poised to compete heavily in the search advertising market as a united group. We’re anticipating even more members as advertisers become more disillusioned with the problems of pay per click advertising.”
