Our readers continue to be intrigued by the success of Bing, so this weeks SEM video is sure to be a must-watch.

Rand from SEOmoz was recently given the opportunity to get more of an insight into Bing through an interview with Eric, Rajesh and Alessandro from the Bing Webmaster Team.

The hot topics discussed were wide ranging, starting with Bing market share and ending with the Bing IIS Toolkit.

Eric was the first cab off the rank as he discussed the phenomenal market share that Bing has achieved so far. However, what gets the team most excited is the word of mouth buzz that Bing has generated. Eric also mentioned the Bing/Yahoo deal and although he didn’t give away any specifics, he did tell us all to stay tuned as the partnership will bring lots of innovation to search.

One of the most common questions that the team gets asked is what different SEO techniques need to be done by webmasters in order to get a good Bing ranking? Rajesh from the Bing team said that there is no need to do anything different from the normal SEO techniques. However, you must ensure your site is registered in the Bing Webmaster Center, including your site map.

One of the newest and coolest tools from Bing is the IIS SEO Toolkit. It’s a quite extensive tool which allows webmasters to improve their sites relevance in search results by recommending how to make the site content more search engine-friendly. Alessandro explained in the interview how the toolkit came about and also what they have planned for the tool in the future.
