A new video has been created by the Google Australia team which outlines 3 ways to control costs with AdWords advertising.

The video, which was posted recently on the Google Australia blog, highlights some tools and strategies to spend your AdWords budget effectively.

Rich Flanagan from the Google Australia Adwords Team explains why they have created the video:

In our conversations with Australian small business owners, we know that having complete control over your costs is essential. Business owners must react quickly to all sorts of economic realities, such as the number of orders received or fluctuating supplier costs. With AdWords, you’re in complete control of your advertising spend.

The video outlines the three main areas, where advertisers can control their AdWords budget, as:

• Daily Budget – you can change your budget each day or leave it at Google’s recommended amount
• Cost-per-click (CPC) bids – Google suggests changing the bid amount for your best performing keyword to get a higher position on the page, while lowering the bid for other keywords.
• Ad quality – make sure your ads, keywords and landing page are relevant to what customers are searching for.

While the video is quite basic, it is a great starting point for all businesses that are doing their own advertising and are new to AdWords.
