Welcome to the ineedhits Search Engine Marketing blog, where we share the latest search engine and online marketing news, releases, industry trends and great DIY tips and advise.
Who was it that said Yahoo! is done and dusted? Well whoever it was, it certainly doesn”t appear that way. Just last week Yahoo! introduced Yahoo! Mobile and now they have announced a new set of online ad targeting services. The WSJ broke the news first. They reported that Joanne Bradford and Michael Walrath, Yahoo! senior vice presidents, are set to debut these new services during a conference in Florida next week.
The new services include targeting graphical adverts to users who have searched for particular terms in Yahoo’’s search engine and customizing the offers in adverts based on what Web sites a consumer has visited and what they have done on those sites.
These new services aim to help online marketers gain more from their Yahoo! ad campaigns. It is expected that another Yahoo! service will go live next month also. This service will allow marketers to buy targeted text advertising next to search results. These ads can be targeted to users during a certain time of day or based on factors such as their age and gender. This certainly won”t be the last we hear about these services. Any further news or updates we hear about this, we will be sure to let you know.
